Our Services

Mountainside Speech Therapy provides both evaluation and treatment for a variety of pediatric speech and language disorders, including reading disabilities and dyslexia. The first step is to request a comprehensive evaluation to diagnose all areas of need, in order to design an individualized treatment plan, specifically for your child.

Characterized by difficulties producing the sounds in a language. Children may struggle to articulate one or more sounds or have a pattern of sound errors, known as phonological processes or patterns.

Characterized by deficits in the comprehension or expression of oral language. Children may have a limited vocabulary or difficulty with grammar when speaking.

Characterized by difficulties with written language, including reading and writing. Children with oral language deficits may find themselves struggling with reading comprehension in the school-age years.

In-Person or Online

Appointments can be scheduled in-person or online via a secure video platform. Depending on the situation, some children may benefit from in-person visits at first and then be ready for online therapy sessions after getting started.

What Makes Us Stand Out

1

One-on-One

Do you have a child with developmental, speech, language, or reading disabilities (including dyslexia)? Mountainside Speech Therapy offers individualized therapy sessions to help improve their speaking and reading skills.
2

Specialist

Speech-Language Pathologists are uniquely skilled when it comes to comprehensive evaluations for speech, language, and reading development (including dyslexia). Because the speech, language, and reading systems in the brain are highly intertwined, a comprehensive evaluation from a Speech-Language Pathologist, who specializes in all three, is very important.
3

In-Person or Online Sessions

Speech therapy and reading sessions can be scheduled in-person at my office, online, or occasionally in your home (though a travel fee may apply).
